The Long-waited Gathering
18/11/2004, Thursday
book out at 4.30pm. Had an appointment with my FYP mates and supervisor at 7pm, so have to rush home... luckily, i'm released earlieror else i have to take a cab, that will cost a lot... I was a bit late when i reach suntec but i'm not the latest, that's a relief... ch is already there... yan came shortly, followed by our lecturer(also FYP supervisor), Mr. Ronnie Peh. it's been over a year since we last met, the last time is few days b4 my enlistment... that's because he went London to purse his masters in bio-informatics (something like that lah). He still in his usual self. A vegetarian and healthy-looking guy who loves sports. always care for others and selflessly share all his knowledge... shuang took time to join us for dinner, despite her work at Motorshow.
we went Cafe Cartel for dinner, i'm worried if there's vegetarian food for our beloved lecturer... as usual, he insisted of treating us, which makes us all so "pai seh"... we chatted non-stop for hours there about everything, our life during this year, army stuff, the girls' jobs, and the incident in SP... cong came ard 8pm plus... we stayed ther until 10pm, to wait for shuang to knock off from work... then we decided to go some where else for a drink... the problem is decided where to go when we are in the car!!! LOL! we went to boat quay in the end. and i told them i got drunk few days ago here... they are not really into drinking, some have to wake up early tomolo. so we settled down at Coffee Bean in the end... ch, cong and me treated the girls and our lecturer the drinks, had my favourite ice-blended mocha myself... it was 11pm plus when we headed home. (our lecturer sent us home)... haven recover from the torturement samuel yesterday... damm tired
Creativex Festival
19/11/2004, Friday
meeting my camp mates as usual, going to the Creativex Festival (warehouse sales) at it's HQ at Jurong East, International Business Park. we suppose to meet at 1pm. but except for zw, all are at least 1 hour late... so went to Popular Bookshop to shop for a suitable CD holder to hold my original CDs and lyrics... Mohan and Yan Kit came after that... the shuttle bus is crowded with money-minded singaporeans.. so we took cab to there, anyway it's only $3 (shared among 4 person)... 1st thing i see there is people carrying "big bag, small bag"... Also is my 1st time witness people camp overnight to queue up for tomolo's star buy... seen a lot of products selling at unbelievable price. What really attracts me is the N200 and Zen Micro mp3 players... so tempted, but no money to buy... sad... only Mohan bought a V200 in the end, saying he supports FDS (there's a armoured vehicle named V200 in our camp).
Mohan left us after that to test out his new toy... 3 of us decided to watch "The Forgotten". it's not as good as i think, it's a science fiction thrillerwith a rather strange ending. an average show, not worth $8.50. but the movie shows that mother's love to children is unbreakable. went home around 9pm. tomolo have to book in again for 3 days duty, boring...
